It was great to be back in Melbourne exhibiting at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) on 30, 31 & 1 April, 2017, Australia’s largest annual industry coffee event. Even though we were exhibiting at MICE for the third time, and the planning and preparation is always immense, we were delighted with the show as the number of visitors to our stand far exceeded our expectations and we also felt it was one of the best MICE, ever, in terms of a very warm, relaxed and sharing atmosphere.
On the brew bar, we had some delicious coffees from Coffee Supreme and Proud Mary and these went down a treat. We had Cara and Patrick from Coffee Supreme come and help on the stand too, and it was great to have these two fun characters working with us.
For the first time in Australia, we displayed the new Moccamaster Classic anodised Copper and Brass machines. These caused quite a stir of admiration from visitors and rightfully so, they are beautiful. Even better, we were giving one away on the weekend!
Sarah Baker, Editor of Beanscene Magazine, kindly drew the winner of our competition and a delighted Lorenzo and Diana from Kogi Coffee were the winners.
We observed how many more people now enjoy filter/batch brew as an delicious alternative to espresso and it's great seeing it now on the menu at most specialty cafes around the country and being brewed through one of the different Moccamaster models available.
It was a fun and successful event for us and we would like to thank all of our customers, Moccamaster devotees, users/owners and to new found friends who came to visit us at our stand. It was fantastic seeing you all, and we look forward to catching up with you again soon.
